Who owns the school?
  A nonprofit foundation.
Is it listed in the WHO directory?
  Yes.
Do the students have permission to sit for the USMLE Examination?
  Yes. We have a letter from the director of ECFMG to this effect. A copy of the letter appears on the web site.
Do you have clinical rotation slots available?
  Yes. The clinical rotation slots are available, and we have placed students in the rotation slots. Clinical slots are available in the USA.

Pre-Med Program
How long is the program?
  It is six semesters in 2 years.
What are the pre-requisites?
  The student must have completed high school.
What are the start dates?
  Three times a year January, May and September.

Basic Sciences Program
How long is the basic science cirriculum?
  20 months, divided into five semesters.
How long is each semester?
  Between 14-16 weeks. Two weeks vacation between semesters.
Who are the faculty?
  They are medically qualified faculty trained in Europe and the USA who have long teaching and/or clinical experience. Some of the visiting faculty are from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. Also we have visiting faculty from the University of South Florida.
What are the subjects taught in the basic sciences program?

Do you have a USMLE review course?
  No. Because all students take a review course in the USA soon after they finish basic sciences program.

Clinical Training Program
Where are your clinical rotation spots?
  In the USA in the teaching hospitals.
Is the rotation program in the teaching hospitals?
  48 weeks core rotations are, but elective rotations are in general hospitals. You may also set up elective rotations in our teaching hospitals as well.
How long is the clinical rotation program?
  90 weeks as required by licensing authorities.
Do you accept transfer students and place them in your clinical program?
  After interviewing if we find them qualified and competent.

Academic Qualifications
What is the qualification required?
  Undergraduate degree in Biological sciences or its equivalent or work experience in other profession. Instruction of the basic science course is designed for easy comprehension.
Do you require MCAT (Medical College Admission Test)?
  No.It is Optional.
Do you accept transfer students from other Caribbean Schools?
  Yes. If it is an accredited school and their curriculum matches then it is possible, However, it is decided on a case by case basis.
Is there any special program for Physicians Assistants (PA) or other paramedics like nurses, physiotherapists, etc.?
  They are eligible for credits in specific subjects, and it is determined on a case by case basis.
Is there any special program for Ph. D. applicants?
   There is an M.B./Ph. D. scholarship program. They can teach and take courses for the M.D. program. It requires three years for them to complete basic sciences.

Financial Assistance
What kind of financial assistance is available?
  Private loans are available and approved on an individual basis. If you follow the Management Program, along with M.D., you will be entitled to get Canhelp, TERI, and other loans through some of the universities with whom we collaborate. For details you may call U123 at 905-874-4100.
